Prayer for All Times

In the old Little Breviary from 1856, with an interesting but long-term title: Tertiary Little Breviary in which, apart from the Rule, its explanations and religious prayers, there is found a special prayer service for the Brothers and Sisters of the Penitential Franciscan Order of the Holy Seraphic Father Saint Francis, who remains under the supervision of the Capuchins. It was prepared thanks to the efforts of the pious members of the Third Order and published by one of the Franciscan priests of the Polish Province of Capuchins (Fr. Beniamin Szymanski), there is a beautiful prayer in Latin and Polish, entitled “Prayer for All Times.”

Worship of the Most Holy Face of Jesus cont. ? Apparitions of Bl. Mary Pierina De Micheli

Maria Pierina De Micheli was born on September 11, 1890 in Milan as Giuseppa Maria in a deeply religious family. At the age of 11 she experienced the first revelation ? on Good Friday in her parish church she heard a voice: Will no one kiss me with love, to reward me for the kiss of Judas? Then the girl, not understanding much, kissed the cross with the greatest concern.

On October 15, 1913, Giuseppa joined the Congregation of Daughters of the Immaculate Conception, and on May 16, 1914, she received the habit and took the name Maria Pierina. A year later she made her religious vows. In 1919 she went to Argentina with several other Sisters. There, at the Congregational home in Buenos Aires, in 1921 she made her perpetual vows. As before, in Italy, she spent many hours meditating and adoring the Passion of the Lord, especially the Face of Jesus, which was the main source of her reflections and thoughts. In 1921 she returned to her homeland. In 1928 she became the superior of the house in Milan and then ? the delegate of the Superior General for external affairs. Despite these administrative duties, she deeply lived the mystical experiences.

Worship of the Most Holy Face of Jesus in the Church

When we speak or think about the Most Holy Face of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, we usually turn our minds to the sixth station in the Way of the Cross where St. Veronica, beholding the Sacred Face covered with blood and sweat, compassionately wiped it with her veil, heedless of the rabble surrounding Jesus.

However, we forget that veneration of the Sacred Face ties in with the mystery of the Incarnation and that the devotion began much earlier.  Already in the stable at Bethlehem, the first, besides Mary and Joseph, to express their reverence were the angels, the shepherds and the Magi.

Likewise, we fail to reflect on the Divine Face, perspiring in fatigue during His teaching of the crowds or beaming at the sight of people rejoicing because of a miraculous cure or conversion.  We also do not too frequently remember the Sacred Face radiant with glory during the Transfiguration at Mount Tabor.  The Face of Christ at that moment was so resplendent and beautiful that the Apostles looking at it ?saw no one else but Jesus alone, the Son of God in Whom the Father was well pleased.?

Saint John Paul II’s Window in Krakow

We all know that this year we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the election of Karol Wojtyla to the Holy See. Last week, and especially the day of October 16, 2018, was filled with celebrations reminiscent of an event from forty years ago, and perhaps most of all, expressing our gratitude to God for the gift of this Great Polish Man.

On Tuesday evening, October 16, 2018, at 8:00 p.m., the Papal Window at 3 Franciszkanska Street in Krakow was ceremonially unveiled. In the restored Papal Window there is a mosaic depicting the Pope in white robes. At the top and bottom, there are flowers that refer to those that Our Lady in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska has on her dress.

ABOUT SIGNUM THAT IS ABOUT THE SIGNS OF ADORATION

During the all-day exposition, Sister from the sacristy will give a signum five minutes before each hour, that is, a five-bell sign with the choir bell. Each Sister, wherever this bell will find her, will stop her activities immediately, will kneel on the floor and kiss it saying quietly, while bowed down deeply, that is with her head and shoulders: Praised be the Most Blessed Sacrament … and Forgive us, Lord, forgive and do not be upset with us for ever.

The Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

There is no daughter of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, there is no Sister of Saint Felix of Cantalice who would not know that the day of November 21, the Feast of Presentation of the 3-year-old Mary in the Temple to the service of the Most High God, is so closely related to the dedication of the two first Felicians to the service of Our Lord Jesus [Zofia Truszkowska, who took the name Angela and Klotylda Ciechanowska, who took the name Weronika]. It is like no other day recorded in the history of the Congregation, because on this day it began to exist officially.

Prayers to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Prayers written by Father Honorat
for the Superiors of the Congregation of the Felician Sister
after their suppression in 1864

O Blessed Lady of the World! our Lady! You Who reign so mercifully over our Congregation, placed into Your Heart from its founding! You, Who delegated to me, Your unworthy handmaid, Your Jurisdiction over this home, please come to my assistance. THe more unworthy the hands into which You entrusted this Your little family, the more the need of Your most solicitous care so that, through my incompetence, not harm would be done to any of  Your children.

The Society of Spiritual Honor Guard of the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the Conversion of Sinners

On July 22, 1879 the Spiritual Honor Guard of the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the Conversion of Sinners was officially founded at the Congregation of the Felician Sisters in Cracow.

Mother Mary Magdalen Borowska, then the Superior General, in her circular letter to all the Sisters of the Congregation reportin important events of the year 1878 ? 1879 writes about the event thus:
